Hi, my name is Wyatt Frank. This portfoio is meant to give you, the reader, a sense of who I am and the work I've already accomplished while at UM. This is also meant to give you a sense of the places I wish to be going and the direction in which my future seems headed. This portfolio, as with my work and my identity, is full of lessons from growing up in New York City; role models, mischeviousness, identity clashes, they all come to the forefront here. After my grandfather died, I learned about his concentric circles of obligation: Family, close friends, and neighborhood. This has guided me, my values, my feeling of responsibility to be a resource for those around me. These concentric circles have come to mean a lot to me over the last couple years. This is reflected in my writing as much of the important and worthwhile stuff I have accomplished recently has revolved around what, to me, is most important -- family, close friends, and the neighborhood back home in New York. While reading this, I ask that you to think through several questions and allow them to guide your experience.
Thank you, and enjoy. |
